  1. As you can see by my new avatar, this poor cat needs some help. I just got her from a homeless guy under I-5. He has been treating her eye infection with visine(not a good thing for cats). She needs to have one eye removed. 4 other cats came this guy and are all fine. If you can help please just call South Seattle Vet at 206-242-8338 and put it under F.C.A.T cats account tell them it is for the eye fund.

Oh that's rough. Poor thing! Glad you and this man found each other before things got worse. Is she a good fit for help from Furry Faces Foundation too? Home page says there's a fundraiser tomorrow - whadya' think F3, maybe a few hands of Catsino blackjack for the kitty?

Bumping-hope things go well with surgery tomorrow. When I called the vet, they said she should have some sight in the remaining eye with medication and treatment. Glad she's getting some help!

  11. I have had several generous gifts called into South Seattle Vet. I will let everyone know the outcome later Tuesday evening. She will also be spayed.

I got one more adult from the homeless guy and waiting to get one more trapped. I have to bribe him with gift certificates to burger king. I won't give him cash. I hope to have her siblings on petfinder Tuesday evening. They are all doing great.

I wish I could take her in but it would mean purchasing a round trip plane ticket back to SEA.

Maya with one Eye-a...hopefully she will find a loving home as she so deserves.

A song from The Church - "Maya"...they've played many times in Seattle and still one of my favorite bands but this song goes out to this lil gal.

Download it from I-Tunes...The Church - Forget Yourself - "Maya".

The lyrics below seem to fit somehow...

    When, how did you notice
    Why, what can't you see
Yeah, if that's all the difference it makes
Yeah, it makes it all different for me

Now you're lost in this moment
    Now outside of time
Now, now you remember it all
    How, now that reminds me

Well, what can you do now
    When everything's done now
And we really need something out there
All this is just Maya to me

Bump - How did her surgery go?

    Posted 2 years ago #
  16. Leroniusmonkfish: wow that is so SWEET thanks (I like the group Church). Surgery WENT great, she also got fixed. She is in big cage for about a week. I do take her out, she has NO depth perception, also need to make sure she knows the difference between her cat bed and litter box. Her other eye is NOT much better. She also almost walks into walls, that is common No she didn't hurt herself this is how she will get to know her surroundings. I hope to get a new picture of her later this evening.

THANKS to everyone for your donations. I can at least still TRN cats.
