It is a "sticky" atop the rant/rave category list.
I don't see how my rant against TLC Pet Services violated the rules. Please advise TR - also, do I get to see the response that was posted?
Is it at all possible your second hand story of rudeness could have actually been stress or a friend trying to help?
No- I just talked to someone at TLC services who call me a crack whore, crazy bitch and said they'll continue to do it whenever the want. Taking my business card holder is THEFT!!!
How is it a secondhand story when the store's own employee saw it happen AND her cards were in my card holder JT - get real!
This is not a firsthand story. The rules very clearly say you need to have witnessed or experienced what you are writing about.
I also am mulling over the concept of whether what MAY be, IF this was indeed what happened, a problem between competing businesspeople, should be aired here at all. That's going to take some more thought. It hasn't come up before.
They have it on video at the pet store TR!
JT - let's let this one go, eh? If you want to do business with people who call others crackheads and whatnot, do so. If not, don't. I'm not making any judgments one way or the other if you do or you don't, but I personally won't be calling potty mouths to care for my fur-babies. They already know kung-fu. I don't need them cussing me while they scratch me.
Predatory practices by any business towards any others is a sign of poor business practices that the public should be aware of. TLC is choosing not to respond to my attempts to resolve this matter - instead calling me all kinds of foul names. People invite these people into their homes - don't you think they have a right to know about this conduct?
Thank you Cait - TLC was VERY RUDE and I didn't cuss once. At one point when I said that they took my business card holder - the person said "So? I'll take it again if I want"?
I would want to know if someone that I was considering hiring does business like this. Hell, there have been lesser complaints about employee attitudes at Jamba Juice, Home Depot, etc.... and they weren't pulled.
I followed the rules and tried to resolve it first and one person - JT - thinks that because this person has a sick kid I supposed to just pass it off - not when it was witnessed and not when I tried to resolve it!
May I remind you that our rules also say the site owners have the right to delete anything at any time. I hate having to add a new chapter to the rules every five minutes because something new happens - I have not before had someone choose to disrespect us in this manner -- but if our decision to delete something is flagrantly ignored, by the person repeatedly reposting it, as is being done currently, we also will suspend that person's posting privileges. I do not intend to spend my entire evening having to hit the delete button every three minutes.
You have not given me a good explanation why my rant is being deleted - it would be nice if you could PM that member when you do it to tell them why you consider the rant to be a violation.
I contacted TLC and they basically confirmed they did it with the answer "SO"! This is a legit. rant and you are showing favoritism.
I was one of the folks that had the opportunity to see what was posted before it was yanked. I think it may not have been yanked had it not been so angry and emotional. When I read it, I understood why you would be upset and angry, but I think it came across as a little too heavy and accusatory. Just my two cents. I don't have a pet to be sat so no personal feelings here.
Im curious, mellaw, if you notified TLC that your next step would be to defame their business publicly? Did you give them the chance, or opportunity, to explain their side, if they wish?
I agree with you, Magpie, the original rant was heavy emotionally.
rudeness does not require cussing. just sayin'.
TR...
i dont' always agree with your reasons for removing a thread but i do always agree with your absolute right to do so...
maybe you should remove this one so we can all go to sleep and think on it...
Another rule it seems I have to restate.
If you are suspended from posting, don't try to get around it by registering a new account. It's traceable. And that account, unlike a suspended original account, will be deleted.
TR, for the record, I think you do a great job of balancing free speech with the need for respect. The constant bickering gets annoying but the overall blog still rules. :)
