Remember the Beach House?

  1. For those of you who used to patronize The Beach House Restraurant down on Alki and lament its closing years ago - you might be enthused to know that chef Michael has a bistro open in Burien called \"Bistro Baffi.\"

The food is the same (excellent), and the new space is much larger and nicer (no plastic chairs or tables!). Also, they now have a full bar. It\'s kind of like what the Beach House wanted to be when it grew up.

Former Beach House fans, you may now rejoice. To those who didn\'t have the pleasure, you have a great dining option next time you\'re down South.

  2. We loved the Beach House and now we love Bistro Baffi. The risoto is too die for! Now I\'m having cravings!

  3. sw,

Thank You, thank you, thank you!! You have made my day. The Beach House was my favorite place to eat in WS and I still miss it to this day.

I will be visiting them in Burien at the first opportunity.

  4. BTW, call ahead to make a reservation, it\'s not easy to get a table on weekends.

Michael and Dinka are putting out some mighty fine Italian food! My favorite is the Penne Arrabbiata. Simple and wonderful.

Don\'t forget a slice of Michael\'s Tiramisù for dessert. It\'s out of this world.

Baffi means mustache in Italian. Michael\'s sporting a classic.

Again I\'m new here. Can anyone tell me where the best Italian food is here in West Seattle? I guess the place you\'re talking about here is Italian, but I want to find really good Italian here in West Seattle. Any suggestions?

La Rustica (4100 Beach Drive), without doubt (without my doubt) the best! :-) Angelina\'s (2311 California) more working class restaurant (and less expensive). If I find their web sites, I\'ll post them too.

La Rustica is definitely the atmosophere with good food and wine. Do a google search and read the reviews. And it feels like home. I still haven\'t found the web pages.

I agree with you on Angelina\'s. We\'ve tried it and love it! I was just wondering if there was another place we hadn\'t found. I\'ll look into La Rustica. Thanks for the suggestion! Remember, we are new here and don\'t even know what \"in the Junction\" means!!

  12. THE Junction is the business district centered at the intersection of Alaska and California, there is also the Morgan Junction which is at Fauntleroy and California.
