West Seattle Brake Service at 4464 37th Ave SW
206-935-4350. We've taken all our vehicles there over many years and never been disappointed. John owns his business that I believe he took over from his father. His prices come in below his competitor's and does not press for replacing parts that do not need replacing as many others do. He may be the only independent brake man in WS. At least talk to him about your need. It's below the YMCA just north of the triangle at 37th and Fauntleroy.Posted 4 months ago # -
I had my front brakes done at Harrah's a few months ago. They did a great job, as they always do. Stops are great, no rattles, squeals or clunks.

Courtesy Tire saved me over a grand on the Lincoln. I always ask for Nate to work on my vehicles. Ditto on not trying to just throw all new parts in to up the bill.

Alki Auto Repair. Not only do they do a great job, they've got the best view in town for any auto place.

You should also check out Les Schwabb

I love the tires and batteries at Les Schwab, but DO NOT go there for brake work. They charge MUCH more than other shops because they want to replace ALL the parts with NEW parts. That is what allows them to give such a great warranty.
Several years ago, they quoted me about $500 for a brake job. Burien Toyota charged me half that amount!
Now if you need tires or batteries - Les Schwab is the ONLY place I will recommend! Did you know that they have a 70,000 mile tire. I have had several sets on different cars and they just last forever!

I love Harrah's, but the last time they serviced our car for breaks they didn't do a great job. We've had an incessant squeak ever since. They tend to use ceramic breaks, which I'm not sure I like.
