Just wanted to give a new business a shout out for the great job they did repairing what I thought were a lost cause pair of shoes. Not sure of the business name, his sign just says "Shoe Repair" on the building. Just noticed it a few weeks ago while driving by (located right next to the computer repair shop which is next to Diva Coffee on Fauntleroy).

Really nice guy and the shop is immaculate. He's got tons of cool looking equipment, new and old. Looks like the shop could be a museum to shoe repair.

Anyway, he did an amazing job and even gave me a discount since it was my first time in. Very reasonably priced and a great addition to Fauntleroy. Now if we could just get more of those empty car dealership buildings filled up.

  2. I just noticed that place the other day. Thanks for the review, it's nice to have options and I am definitely going to check them out!

  3. If you ever spot a new business we haven't covered here - please invite them to send us some info so we can do a story! We are lucky to get tips or spot most of them but here's clearly one we missed.

  4. I also noticed the SHOE REPAIR in drive by and very curious; so after reading OP, I stopped in yesterday, but alas, it was too late; sign on door says closed at 5:30; but with the huge windows I could see the entire shop, very cool antiques; I will go back with my beloved super comfortable old shoes and boots that I've saved in hopes of a shoe repair magician to bring them back to life; if I get there today, I’ll take a pic

  5. I was just there a few weeks ago for the first time. Needed to have some dress shoes shined up, and I mentioned that heel was not very comfortable. He glued some suede into them, and wow - they are terrific now!
    Great biz. NOTE: cash only!

good to know! I have been looking for a place to stretch some boots. Shoes are magic so anyone who can repair them are definitely magicians.

This place is fabulous! I had a terrible experience at Ron's Cobbler Shoppe, across from Jefferson Square, where my 24 day old new heals fell off and wore out, only to be told it was not his fault and I should not wear my shoes every day, so I went to the 'new' place. The owner was so kind and reasonable. I highly recommend him.

Ditto the comments above! And it looks like he could use some business this time of year :) Let's support a good local business!

Tried his shop a couple of weeks ago and he did a fabulous job of making my boots look like new again. They needed a repair but he went over and above shining and polishing them. Cash or check only but he tells you that upfront so no surprises. Reasonable fees. I will for sure use him again.

Is Ron's cobbler the place by Mural? if so, I can't even believe they are still in business. I brought some boots in there that were just SCUFFED. That is all. The man told me there was nothing he could do and sold me some shoe creme. When I tried to start matching the color he told me to not even both as I wouldn't be able to. His service was so incredibly bad I almost felt like there was a hidden camera. Sadly, there wasn't.

I am excited to try the new place!!
