RAVE: La Boucherie on Vashon

  1. I had the most amazing dinner I have ever eaten in the NW last night. Best part, it's on Vashon! La Boucherie is the restaurant for Sea Breeze Farm. It was a wonderful evening full of fresh and delicious food and very kind people. A one of a kind true farm to table experience. It's an easy trip from West Seattle. We had no special occasion to celebrate, merely ventured over to eat the finest the NW has to offer. Their homemade ricotta is nothing short of perfection. The pork belly was the best I have ever tasted. Lettuces I had ever experienced accented with a rhubarb vinaigrette that was ideal! Housemade "cherry garcia" ice cream...ridiculous! I can't say enough of about the entire evening. http://www.seabreezefarm.net/

I too have visited the fair isle and lunched at La Boucherie. I took an old friend and he raved about the lunch months afterwards. While the service can slow with more than a couple of tables, the sincerity of the service and the food is wonderful. Things are deftly prepared and presented well. . The ingredients are seasonal so the choices are few-- just go with it. I second your rave.
