Early this morning my wife went the drive through Starbucks on Fauntleroy
just before the bridge. As she was leaving she noticed a gentleman in a
wheelchair who had fallen off the curb and was now laying in the street
with his chair beside him. As she pulled into 7-11 to get out and help, AT
LEAST 5 different people converged on him at a full sprint to check if he
was ok and help him back into his chair…
Later this evening, my family and I went to the Barnes & Noble in Westwood
for Arbor Heights Elementary School PJs and Storybook night. We parked in
front of Pier One and ran over. Some 15 minutes later I received a call
from an unknown number. When I checked the message, it was from a
gentleman, J.A., who had found my wallet I had dropped when getitng out of
the car. I met him 5 minutes later in QFC. What could have been a very
frustrating and painstaking event, turned into a reminder that most people
are good and that the holiday spirit is still out there.
Cheers and Happy Holidays!
