We love the Reindeer Festival at Cougar Mountain Zoo. We always go to see Santa in his Santa house with his elves. As you walk to his hut, you will see his Reindeer. You can feed them too. The elves take pics of your kid(s) with Santa or you can take your own for a nomimal fee.
Plus they have a baby Reindeer there this year.
And of course the Tigers, Cougars (3 new cubs) and the other animals are there. They are beautiful. We went yesterday on our yearly trek.
We love Woodland Park also, but feeding the Alpaca's is a blast. You can get very close to the animals. Although I would not recommend getting too close to the Emus.
It is a small zoo, but for little kids, I think it is the best. There is some parking but not a ton. With School out it might be a bit more packed.
There is an entrance fee, and the cups of apples cost a few bucks each. Bring some change. I recommend you go during the week and call ahead to find out what the prices are etc.
Merry Christmas.
