Believe it or not, the Highstrike Grill (which is housed with the WS Bowl) has - without a doubt - the best Happy Hour is WS. We've been twice now and have yet to order an entree - even though they look amazing. You won't be dissapointed.

  2. Mr. Hopey and I ate there tonight, based on the previous rave reviews here in the forums. It was indeed wonderful! I would never have thought of a Salmon BLT but it was very good, and the Mister liked his fish tacos too.

    Here's the previous thread: http://westseattleblog.com/forum/topic/highstrike-grill-is-now-open

And psssst... for fellow Restaurant.com fans, Highstrike is now participating with certificates at several different price points.

FYI - While the HighStrike is listed as a sports bar - soccer fans aren't welcome. Stick with Chelan's.

That's a rather mysterious report. What makes you say so?

The charlabobs have been there twice for dinner and both were exceptional -- food and service.

Went for weekend brunch Sunday and it was great too. (Went to welcome Matthew back to the WS restaurant scene and were very happy to see Matthew and consume bloody marys and very brunch items. Reasonable prices and great food. (Next time we'll try the Bloody Mary bar -- pick your own alcohol and add-ons.)

  9. some of our family went bowling earlier this week, and brought home a flier about free games on Saturday morning with the purchase of breakfast. they don't open til 11, so it didn't work out for this past weekend but it sounds like we'll have to make more of an effort next time. maybe we can convince them to change their opening hours, a la heartland.

I think they just changed their website. I was misled a couple of weeks ago too. Soccer fans welcomed I'm sure! ;-)

  13. I really wish new ( and old ) restaurants would read this comic before launching a website!

The highstrike does a pretty good job, except for putting their contact info & address into an image.

  14. Highstrike is great, but my only beef is that they serve a lot of finger food which doesn't go well with bowling IMO. I'm not a germaphobe but there's something about eating chicken wings with fingers that have been lodged in a bowling ball that grosses me out. My teammates are always getting the steak salad which looks delish.
