RANT: Wheel Spinning Idiots doing donuts and other reckless driving

    Earlier in the summer, we had a young man with his white Mazda Miata and friend(s) repeated driving like a maniac thru the north Admiral area. Presumably his car is broken since we haven't heard it in some time.

    However...in the last 2 weeks, there's a Dark Blue Ford Mustang ( possibly about 10 years old ) and another young man doing donuts on the arterial at an intersection near where we live. I'm sure other neighbors are frustrated also, but...what do people do to remedy and discourage the behavior. Confrontation seems to be potentially a bad idea, but just looking for ideas. Take video, send to police?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    I agree that confrontation would probably not be a good idea, but a video with the license captured might be just the “ticket” if you could get it without putting yourself in harm’s way. The video could also be a wake up call for the parents who may be carrying them on their insurance.

    Talk to the SDOT, they might have some suggestions what you and your neighbors can do.
