As long as we're bitching about WS drivers: Handicapped parking spots are not a standing zone or pickup zone. They are not a "I'm just running in for a second" spot. This goes for the painted grid spot that is right next to many handicapped spots - that is not a parking spot, even if you have a handicapped permit (yes, I've witnessed this) - this space is for the person legally parked in the handicapped spot to have extra room.
I see this all over West Seattle, but the biggest offenders are people at the 7-11s on Avalon and California/Erskine. People must be imagining the "I'm just using Redbox and will move in a second" sign. Please have some respect for the handicapped parking spots and the people who have been issued passes to use them.
