The outside looks unassuming but I know enough about the area to know that there are some very good restaurants around there.

The inside is way nicer than I was expecting. It's a deli but they also have a sit-down menu.

I ordered the pad thai to go and got a big portion of really good food for exactly $5.00.

It took a little longer than I was expecting (not much), but while I waited the owner brought me tea and I chilled watching some Cambodian version of the Donnie and Marie show on their flat screen TV with awesome sound system.

As I was leaving I asked the guy what was in one of the donuts they had and he said, "try this one!" It was like a donut on the outside, deep fried and covered in sugar, but the inside had some kind of paste that was flavored with just a bit of green onion. Wow that was good. I offered to pay him for it but he refused.

In short: really good food, nice atmosphere, inexpensive, and nice owners. They were nice enough that I decided to take the time to post this rave.

I will be going back for sure.

This is a "do-not-miss" kind of place. I first read about it from our friends at White Center Now. I'm not sure if the review there is still accessable; it has been a few months? more than six months ago?

  4. I agree, really really good. As good as what I had in Cambodia (I was there for a few days a year and a half ago).

My friends and I, including 3 native Cambodians, went here last month. Fantastically huge dishes, made when you order it (at least for our table of 8)and all of it pretty yummy. And cheap! I recommend the whole fish, the beef stew, and the chicken wings.
    Cash only :)
