  1. So driving down a road I see a kid giving FREE puppies away. URGH!! So I took them and she of course didn't ask any questions. I guess there were 4 others. God willing they are pitbull bate somewhere. Any ways, there are beagle mix a boy and a girl. Even better I was able to convince them to get the mom fixed and they already made the appointment.

So if you know of any one who would be interested please contact me at 206-427-6454. All you will need to pay for is S/N cost and 1st vaccine. There will a home visit and screening of course. I will be taking them to the shelter otherwise.
They seem to be well behaved. I will see how the crate training goes tonight, as for potty trained well again I just got them.

  2. Surely you meant to say "fighting bait" not pitbull bait. Sorry, but as someone who works so hard in pit bull rescue, this made me cringe. Not all pit bulls are fighters, and not all fighting dogs are pit bulls.

Anyway, thank you for rescuing these dogs and hopefully teaching these kids a little bit about responsibility. I hope they all find wonderful forever homes.

And *I* hope you meant you hope they are *not* "pitbull bate" [sic] somewhere.

To hope that puppies are fighting bait is just wrong, but the wording of the sentence suggests you do hope they are.

  4. yes that is what I meant. little distressed about the whole situation.

Yes ALS. I DO know not all pits are fighters, but where I rescued them from is an area where they are known to fights pits. So please give me a little credit.

Sometimes the fingers and thoughts run a muck when emotions are so high. When I heard of a pit bull fighting group in South Park, she was the one I knew would help. She was not afraid to hook up Animal Control enforcement with the person identifying the locations. I called her last week when two big dogs were wandering in my neighborhood and she loaned her truck to take them to Animal Control for me (to keep them safe). Animal Control told me they could not pick them up until the following day and I could not keep them at my house. I know that she is rescuing these dogs so that they will find a good home, away from any possible involvement with fighting or baiting.... Just typographical, emotionally charged typing.

Hammerhead, you deserve tons of credit for the work you do for unwanted pets. Thank you so much. I was at a doggie event on Sunday in the Mt Baker neighborhood. There were three rescue organizations there with dogs looking for homes. And then, in came this lady with her dog; a very sweet and pretty spaniel of some kind. And she left him! She said she was expecting a baby and she couldn't "do" both. This poor sweet dog; who was so good natured. Everytime someone new came in the door he looked up to see if it was his person coming back for him. My heart was going back and forth between anger and grief. Eventually the grief won out, and I had to leave the event cuz I was getting too weepy.
    When will it ever end?

  7. ugh..flower...I wish there was a place we could take people like that and dump THEM to find a new home. I hope the sweet spaniel found a good place to be. Just be grateful you're not this moron's child.

  8. Oh gawwwwd, flowerpetal, what a horrible thing to watch. That dog must have been - probably still is - so confused.

    Hey Pam,
    How are the puppies doing?

    Posted 1 year ago #
  11. Took them to Seattle Animal Control. They got fixed and are in foster doing very well. They are a beagle and scottish terrier mix.

Thanks for asking. I just can't foster puppies as I have over 25 kittens.
