dobroParticipantJust had a visit with our water dept guys (very nice guys and prompt response. Thanx Seattle PUD). Noticed some moisture on the sidewalk near our water meter and called in. They need to come back next week to do some digging and investigating but said there is definitely a pinhole leak and if its on their side of the line they do all the fixing. but if it’s on our side, we need to get a plumber to fix it.
So BlogBuddies, for a project like this,if I do need someone to fix my water line promptly and affordably, who do I call?

sacatoshParticipantBest Plumbing based out of the Fremont/Wallingford border(ish) area is fantastic.

oceanParticipantI like Steve Taylor– he has done big and little jobs for us and is very good AND fair! (Plus he is in West Seattle.)

LVBebeParticipantLoved Affordable Plumbing, Tom and his team are great. We had some plumbing we needed done immediately (connecting a dishwasher & an tub leak) and he went out of his way both times to get it done quickly and at a reasonable price (206) 931-3365

ericakMemberJoe the Plumber http://www.joetheplumberseattle.com/
Joe saved us from needing to replace our water heater by identifying a small part in need of repair saving us lots of money. Quotes from others were in the thousands and included full replacement and additional unnecessary work.

savoirfaireParticipantWe’ve used O’Neill Plumbing too and been happy with them (for a smaller & inside job, but still).

JayDeeParticipantI third O’Neill. I had a plumber from Company A (which may rhyme with freakin’) with witching rods standing in a pool of water on my front lawn saying the pipe was located there. Yes, I know, that’s where it entered the basement crawlspace so I would surprised if it was elsewhere. They fixed the problem, but afterwards I wondered if it was worth $1500 to fix. Because you gotta have water.

dobroParticipantThanks again for the recs and I’ll keep this page bookmarked for future use, but the good news is the problem ended up being on the water company side of the line. They fixed it, told me it’ll be good for many years to come, and it was all on their nickel. Yippee!!!!
