Please help find Luther, a neighborhood institution and lost kitty

Luther's family posted a note on the "Pet's" page but I wanted to reinforce (and make sure anyone who misses it there sees it.) He's the unofficial welcome wagon for our street -- summers in dusty plant beds and often winters in our car port.

They miss him and we all miss him -- this very morning another neighbor, taking his kid for a walk, asked me if I'd seen Luther lately --

    Thanks!

We went by and helped look for Luther and posted some signs. Alki Mail and Dispatch was kind enough to post a sign as well. Hopefully he'll be home soon! My son thinks he's on a playdate with some other cats...
It's time to come home, Luther!

  3. Charla, here's a suggestion: check the phone records on Spot Katsky's cell, and see if there has been any recent texts between him and Luther.

Perhaps Luther was intrigued with Spot's expedition earlier this year.

Seriously, though, I hope Luther shows up safe and sound!

I wonder if he and my cat Austin are out backpacking in West Seattle. I came home last night and Austin didn't come out to see me and when I went to his hidey hole he wasn't there. I called and searched but to no avail. I think he might have slipped outside when Mom answered the door yesterday and didn't come home last night. He has done this to me a couple of times before and I think well he has found somewhere else to be and then shows up. So hopefully these two boys are out drinking and sowing their wild oats and will be home soon.

I think my 13-year old tabby, Lily is out carousing with the guys. She didn't come in last Friday night. Same neighborhood. Maybe they are holed up in someone's garage or basement passing the 'nip around. Please check your garages, sheds, basements! Contact info posted on pets page.

    Thanks!

Daughter leaves to start college in a week, I think Luther sensed there was change in the air and went off to find himself a new experience. They grew up together and she really wants him home to say goodbye! I found his collar this morning so he has no identity tag anymore. I'm hoping people will recognize him by his adorable, friendly face. Thanks everyone!

Since Luther is an outdoor cat, he could be way up a tree, or under something that somehow got block off/can't egress.

Here are some tips from Missing Pet Partnership's (MPP) website.

    Good Luck

  9. Luther is an old fellow and is unlikely to be up a tree...
