Also, contact the State Department on Monday, because the person who lost the passport might be contacting them to get a replacement – especially if they are traveling soon!
It is good advice. We are trying to get a hold of the person a couple of different ways to get their passport returned. I know if it was me & I was in a foreign country & lost mine I would freak out.
You’ve probably thought of this already, but if it’s not a U.S. passport it’s worth contacting the consulate or embassy for the country it’s from, if there is one in Seattle, as the owner may have reported the loss there.
