Let's meet at Ladro at 12:30 PM on Friday, Jan 21 and see if we can get something going. I'm interested in fiction and non fiction. Classics and modern. Anyone interested?

being older women doesn't guarantee we will have similar interests
    but it's a start:)

after 5 PM is more difficult for me

Is 46 considered an older woman? I would be interested in this also. Right now I can do the 12:30 but once I get back to work full time I won't be able to make that time.

12:30 was only a suggestion to see if we could get something going. true "older" doesn't mean we have a lot in common tho it is likely our conversation wont be all about kids :-) (love them of course but not my favorite topic of conversation). I think I'll start a new post and just say over 40's group.

  6. I say this with a smile on my face and a giggle, so please take it as such.

As a mother of a 9 year old, a reader and a woman in her 40s, I am just letting you know, most of the moms I know of elementary aged kids are in their 40s... If you don't want to hear about kids, you may want to raise the age. *wink*

Lots of us had kids later than folks used to...

You are so right. It was so hard to figure out how to "advertise" this. No offense intended :-)

  8. I'm in my early 40's and many of my friends are. I have a 1st grader and a 4th grader. I'd be talking kids the whole time. When I think older women I think 60's. I am NOT an older woman! LOL!

  9. @kmweiner - None taken at all. (hence the *wink*)

Good Luck to you getting a group together. I hope that it works out to be an interesting group of women with a diversity of experience. I think that makes for the best kinds of discussion groups.
