Just left NV after finding out that the truck and a half of wood we brought, plus waterworlds donation was used up overnight. We're going back down after lunch to cut up some long stuff that's in camp that will have to be brought over the berm to not violate the green initiative the camp operates under. That being said, more wood would be appreciated, as it's going quick.

I'm still working on getting some delivered but it looks like that won't happen until tomorrow. :(
I'm going out later this afternoon and will endeavor to drop some off in the meantime.

I've also gone through my stuff and formed a rather large pile of warm mens clothing that can go, my wife will be doing the same shortly.

I can't provide wood, but if someone is heading to NV later today and willing to pick up, I do have 12 boxes of hot chocolate packages. It might be nice for them to have something warm during such a cold & snowy day. I live near westwood village, so it would be near their camp site.

Datamuse: I think we can get enough to last them thru the night so tomorrow would be great.
sbre: We can pick it up if you tell us which house is yours. Color, identifying features? Right now we're near 48th and Alaska.

they can also use pellets.. they burn pellets in the gassification stoves they built this fall
they use them as both a heat source and to cook food.
pellets are roughly $5 a bag at Home Depot and 6 bags will fill a metal storage drum
i don't know how long that lasts at Nickelsville in this weather.
at this time pellets have to bagged or in a weatherproof sealed container as they have no back-up storage for bulk pellets.
Also...
they have secured permission to use propane to cook in this weather...
so they can also use propane.
The cheapest way to deliver propane to Nickelsville is to stop by to pick up a tank and have it filled at White Center Welding or McClendons...
but you can also do an exchange at Home Depot or Albertsons or the drug store at the corner of 35th and Monroe for under $20
a filled new tank is in the 50/60 range most places i have checked.

Tis 3:30..... I have hot lentil and hocks on the boil.... I have rolls too. Last time they were short bowls so I bought 80 plastic ones... sorta re-useable. Someone pass along to N'ville zuppo should be done around 5:30 or so.. and I will transfer it to a hot food carrier and bring it down.

courtesy of my former co-workers, I have $200 I am willing to donate for whatever fuel (firewood, pellets, propane, etc.) is needed most. Unfortunately, Dodge doesn't make a Ram4X4 wheelchair, so I am stuck at home for the duration. I am in the Morgan Junction area on CA just south of Tway if someone can stop by.
metrognome86 at comcast dot netkman, nice job with the hot food!

I have a stack of firewood in my front yard under a tarp and a stack of 6-8 foot lengths of used lumber that you can use if you'd like. I'd deliver but am in hospital. You'll need to check in with the neighbor so she won't call police on my behalf. contact me at espeut1@comcast.net to arrange details.
