   Patrick took a call from Mike "miws" regarding the Nickelsville fundraiser car wash on Saturday - SAME TIME but the location has moved. It's now at the Krispy Kreme lot on 1st Avenue on SODO. He is having Internet access problems so I don't know how soon he'll be on to elaborate, but just take note of the location change.

   Best of both worlds. Get your car cleaned and get a fresh batch of sugar! LOL! I like the baked Chocolate doughnut. It taste like a hostess chocoate cupcake (looks like one too).

   Thanks everyone!

   Just one more change since I talked to Patrick this morning; the start time is now 9:00am, still running until 5:00pm. Krispy Kreme is at 1900 1st Av S, at Holgate, just south of the Stadiums

   As it stands now, I should be on the first "shift", running from the start of the car wash, until around 11:00 or so.

   Not sure if I'll be washing cars, or waving a sign or two, but looking forward to a fun day, and hopefully seeing some WSB'ers down there!

   I just posted a comment in yesterday's front page article on the car wash, that has a bit of detail on the reason for the change of location.

   Les Schwab really wanted to host this, but pretty much had no choice but to change their mind. So please still stop by there and get some new tires some time!

   And note that Les Schwab's West Seattle location should be open within a month or two (SE corner Fauntleroy/Alaska)... Anyway, will do our best to drop by the car wash, but at the very least will promote it again in Saturday "daily preview." Good luck! - Tracy

    Thanks to everyone that stopped by and made this such a great success! Last I heard we made $430.00!

    But wait! there's more!

    An anonymous donor generously offered to match what we took in, up to $500.00. So, that means, *repeatedly counts fingers and toes* we made $860.00!!

    Thanks again to the fine folks (and tasty donut makers) at Krispy Kreme for hosting this and donating the space and water!

    And a special thanks to the kind woman (who mysteriously knew my name BTW ;-) ) that found me clear over on 4th Av S, waving my sign, and gave me a can of Coke!

    Sorry I missed you, Celeste!

    You must've come by early in the day when I was sign waving on 4th S, or later in the day after I left.

    I did my "shift" from 8:00-11:00, then just hung around for the fun of it until about 2:00, just doing a bit more sign waving and helping with washing cars.
