I would love to see a fabric store/craft supply store go in there... (since it doesn't really look like we will ever see Hancock's return)
What do other people hope to see go in there?

Shakeys/Farrells combo!
A new, giant, private run liquor store!!
Is this the location in Westwood Village? Didn't realize they were closing. How about a mini TJs :) ?
Yes, this is the site at Westwood Village. They are having their liquidation sale now.
World's longest closing sale - been more than a month (had been under way a while even before we wrote about it)

Perhaps Tracy can get an exact answer from Stuart Crandall, Property Manager at Westwood Village, but it is my understanding that there cannot be any eating establishment on the site, due to the lease agreement with Target. As business owners in Westwood Village, we are very interested in what will possibly go into the location; but mostly concerned that it will sit empty :(
I will be happy to pass your ideas on to management so keep them coming! (I would love another Hancock's or similar!!)
I would LOVE to see a fabric store return to West Seattle. However, a Farrell's birthday spot would be a fun idea also. Hey Paison would be a great new addition as I love pastrami!!! What about another Zippy's, this one would have parking! I'm game.
PS I enjoyed Shakey's pizza parlours as a kid but that one definitely conflict with OUR lease agreement!!! :)
A party supply store. West Seattle needs a really good party/costume store.
Too bad the spot isn't big enough for a first-run movie theatre. I'd like to see a Ravenna Gardens, but Westwood is probably a little downscale for them. How about a Spawz?
Trader Joe's!
Trader Joe's!
Fabric store--just NOT JoAnn's.
TR, I don't know if they eventually closed down, but, Roscoe's Rug Emporium was going out of business form 1957, well into the '90's.
Mike
A donut joint.
yes yes yes...we need donuts in west seattle!!!!!1
Ditto Matthew. Mmmmm donuts!
The cool thing about a fabric store is that there would be nearly no local competition. The closest place to get fabric is the 4th Ave Pacific Fabrics outlet (which is not always great for finding what you need) or else you have to drive to Southcenter.
Just NOT another nail shop.
so sad they can't have food there...I'd vote for this :
had yummy maple bacon bar on Saturday morning :)
If lease agreements weren't an issue, Ezell's Fried Chicken.
or the hotdog place selling seattle dogs that i was looking for last week!
