   Our three-year old converter box seems to have died. Does anyone have an extra converter box not being used? I imagine brands are interchangeable. Yes? 206.344.3338

   can you be more specific? i have a comcast box - worth exactly nothing - that's good for their digital starter package, but no hi-def and no on-demand. i.e. channels 02 - 199 or so, plus the digital music channels. coax in/out only, no RCA or HDMI.

   My dead converter box is a Sansonic. It was issued when everyone had to do the switchover. The TV it's used on is an old analog set, bare bones, no bells or whistles. Could we try it out?

   Yes. Argiles, they're still being sold. But it seemed silly to buy a new converter box if my old TV may have only a few years of life left and if a neighbor has a converter box simply gathering dust. What kind do you have?
