We want to take a friend somewhere new (to us) and there's plenty here we haven't tried. But the comments I've seen here often seem to be geared toward stuff we don't eat (burgers, pizza, fried food, rich comfort-foods). Any ideas for healthy, veggie-heavy, flavorful/spicy food? Please exclude sushi, just had it last night :). Thanks!

I think Angelina's has great Italian food. One of our favorite places.

I haven't been to Chaco Canyon yet but it seems to get good reviews for vegetarian food.

Buddha Ruksa or Lee's Asian sounds like it might be up your alley - and delicious!

ooops, probably not veggie-heavy but excellently spicy.Posted 1 year ago # -
Look at Blackboard Bistro's web site and see what they have tonight. Then call them with special food requests/requirements. I've never had a bad dish -- all flavor and spicy. As you can see, they have a huge variety.

OOOH! May have to flip a coin with Blackboard Bistro on one side and Chaco Canyon on the other! Thanks for some great suggestions.

I just had lunch with mom at Fresh Bistro (across the street from the Alaska Safeway). Good fresh food with some veggie options and not real expensive either. We will be going back.

I LOVE to go to kokaras and get the village salad. It has tons of veggies and feta cheese. I usually share the hummus, baba ghanous, tzatki sampler thing as well.
