Naturopath for thyroid and Menopause

    Looking for a good Naturopath for my wife ,prefers a woman, that can help deal with thyroid and Menopause issues. Prefer in West Seattle. Anyone have experience with West Seattle Natural Medicine?

    Jim -- RAVES for West Seattle Natural Medicine although I'm not yet in the menopause stage of life yet. What I really like about them is there are a couple N.D.'s that practice there and if one is out, another can see you b/c the files are all there. I also take my 2 girls (under 2 years old) to see all of them.

    On another note their meds/supplements are quite resonably priced, often less than Pharmaca.

    While I prefer to see Dr. Whittingdon, she's on maternity leave until 2010... Dr. Oldfield and Dr. Gray are also great!!!! And all female.

    Yes, Jim, I've been going to West Seattle Natural Medicine for about 15 years- since before Dr. Oldfield bought the practice. I have received great care from her and Dr. Whittington and both are very good resources for women's health issues including menopause and thyroid concerns. They are my primary care docs - I don't go to an internist or OB/GYN. I haven't been treated by Dr. Gray, but have heard good things about her, as well. We are fortunate to have such a good group of doctors here in WS.

    I have been seing Dr. Oldfield for the past few years specifically for menapause (and now for thyroid as well). She is easy to talk to, a great listener, and has seriously helped me!
