  2. I was just going to ask how Meander's was doing. Haven't been in a while and have read mixed reviews online.

If you've been lately, what do you think?

I was just there and it was great. The only bad thing I can say is that to many people know about the place and wait tomes can reach 30 minutes.

  4. I think the food is now better than ever. And it was good to begin with.

I have had the waffles--and they made me giddy with joy. I actually waved my hands around in the air while making little whimpering noises. I'm not ashamed.

If and when you go, DO be prepared to wait. Grab a C&P coffee first (the only kind Miranda will allow in the door) and bring a book, or crossword, or very entertaining companion and hang out in the back room on the couches. You'll make some new friends, have a nice outing and eat some AMAZING food.

Also, singer Amber Flame is now appearing every Wednesday around noonish, so you'll be serenaded with your food. Double spine-tingles!

Tried the Waffles and they were alright. Might not come back though cause of the waiting time.

  8. Had the waffles - PB and fried banana. Fantastic as expected! I hope they use the waiting room space for more tables. We waited 45 minutes last weekend - and it was worth it, I had the Red Eye NOMNOMNOM - but it was a bit much.

Wonderful food and met some nice people while waiting. Better exhaust fan would improve the whole experience, but Chef makes it an experience. :)

I hope the exhaust system upgrade is on the list. I notice at night that it gets really smokey.

I love Meanders. Not unusual to wait 30 minutes but great food and plenty. Been about a month since there and the wating room idea is great except it was pretty cold. Things improve with time and money. I wonder if they expected the amount of business they get? I tell everyone about it.

Nothing is worth a 45 minute wait. I want to eat today. It sounds like you have to eat before you get there so you're not starving sigh..

Jiggers - I'd normally agree with that statement, but that would have been before Meanders opened their doors. The food there is just sooo good. Can't wait to try the waffles.

Yes. The exhaust needs to be fixed. Some friends of mine were in there the other day and it was so smoky in the dining area that they almost just got up and left. Get the hoods checked please! Otherwise fantastic.

  14. Nah, just go 45 minutes before you're hungry! Easy-peasy. ;)

  15. But what if you opened Jiggers' Spam-O-Rama, and your customers experienced similar inconveniences?

Wouldn't you hope that your customers would be loyal and patient enough to stick out a 45 minute wait, knowing that you and your staff, (if any) were doing the best you can?

Went this Sunday. Wife had to try the waffles. Cream cheese stuffed with berries and whipped cream. It was pretty dang delicious.

I can't seem to order anything but the corned beef hash. The hash is just so incredible that I don't want to be disappointed with anything else (like there's a chance there!). I can't really do sweet for breakfast. I much rather eat savory.

Help me! I'm addicted to the corned beef hash at Meander's!
