Lost keys

  1. Okay, so I have lost my keys and have no idea where (I know that doesn't help). BUT, if anyone finds some keys with both a VW and Mitsubishi fob on a Pike Place beer opener, let me know. Thanks! It's probably in our house but for the life of me I can't find them! I figure it doesn't hurt to check here :)

  2. Remember to check places that you could never imagine them being; absentmindedly put them in the fridge, or a cupboard, putting groceries away?

Did they fall off of a table, desk, or such, and end up behind/underneath it, or a nearby chair or couch?

Got a cat that may have knocked them off of a table?

In a grocery bag you unpacked, and stashed away in a cupboard, drawer, recycle bin?

In one of the cars, somewhere such as between the seats? In the garage, if you have one?

    Laundry hamper?

That's all I can think of off the top of my head! Hope you find them! :-)

  4. Oh, I checked most of those places, dumped out the laundry hamper yesterday. I remember having my keys when I bought sod to throw on the back patio for our dog that just had knee surgery and my jacket got muddy. I swear they are nowhere LOL. I need to check my husbands vehicle AGAIN, I even called the vet to see if I left them there after we picked up our girl from surgery. I knew it was a long shot but you never know where they might show up. Thanks for all the suggestions!

  6. It's a great idea that didn't work LOL. All she would do is lay on it. She is a total potty princess (never goes right outside), we ended up having to put her in the vehicle and drive her to the park for her two bathroom breaks her first week after surgery. We get to start walking her after her stitches come out this weekend, so hopefully those trips can stop :)

Don't you wish you could just Google "where are my keys?"

there used to be a 'clap on - clap off' audible alert you could attach to a key ring ... now they need one with a motion detector and GPS that will call your cell phone if they don't move within a specified time.

since I use a wheelchair and don't have easy access to pockets for keys, I put them on carabiner clips and hang them on the brake handles for easy access (car keys on the right, house keys on the left.) If they fall off, they make enuf noise so I notice. Last summer, the securement strap on the bus knocked my car keys off and I didn't hear them hit the floor, so now I clip them to a secure location when I'm on the bus (my sister was able to get them from Lost and Found even tho they challenged her because she couldn't 'prove' they were hers after she mentioned they were mine ...)

But ... now when I get to the front door, I panic and think I've lost them because they aren't on the brake handle. And then, when I go to get the mail, I panic again if I didn't put them on the handle ... until I realize I am IN the bldg, which means I have the keys ... and it sometimes happens again at the door to my condo ... ain't old age wunnerful, to quote Lawrence Welk. I now carry two sets of extra keys and gave a set to my neighbor.
