After unearthing a bunch of items (VHS and video games, more specifically) while doing some Spring cleaning, I was thinking of signing up for the WS Community Garage Sale, but then realized we have other obligations that day. I thought about listing them here, or on craigslist, and seeing what kind of interest there was, but then wondered if there was possibly a local community/youth center that could use them. Some of them aren't necessarily kid-friendly, so I may just add those to a Goodwill donation pile. But I do have a bunch of Disney films and quite a few old, original/8-bit Nintendo cartridges that would be a fun addition to a library, for those rainy day activities.

After watching a few too many episodes of "Hoarders", I'm feeling the need to get things out of here. And since we no longer have a VCR or Nintendo console, seems rather silly to hang on to these items when someone else might get some use and enjoyment from them.

    Suggestions? Info? Thanks!

Bet you could drop them off at Hotwire, 4410 California Ave SW. Hotwire Online Coffeehouse is collecting donations for Furry Faces Foundation and Animals First Foundation for their Community Garage Sale.

    Hey carrieann -

I think the Teen Center at Steve Cox Memorial Park in White Center might be interested, if they have the right equipment. The building across from the community center (the brown log lodge) is where the administrative offices are. The woman there knows EVERYTHING about that place, but I cannot recall her name, unfortunately. I don't know the hours of operation though. You'll have to find that out.

Also, maybe Salvation Army on 16th @ Henderson? Boys and Girls Club in WC?

Funny about Hoarders - I have never seen it, but I definitely can appreciate the sentiment. Went through all my junk last year. Ugh. Never, ever again. ;)

Thanks for offering up the goodies! Some kids out there will have a good time with them, I'm sure.
