   Does anyone have any recommendations for a cabin to rent in the mountains or beach cottage by the coast? We are looking for a place to rent for the occasional weekend for our family. We are looking for something a bit upscale -- nicely furnished and super clean -- not rustic. There are plenty of places I've seen on the internet but was wondering if anyone had any personal experience and recommendations.

   This is a great option if you are interested in the Cannon Beach area. We have stayed in different houses from this property management company and had excellent experiences every time.

   We have stayed at Merry Cabin. Just outside Leavenworth http://www.comfycabins.com/merrycabin.htm

   Very nice and clean.. It is pretty small but totally out of the way with 3 acres. Hot tub and fire pit too!!! Best for a couple but kids could sleep on pullout bed. Pet friendly so even Fido could come too!

   We always use http://www.vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner)to find places. Currently I am hunting for a 5 day trip to Whistler. I had a friend turn me on to it a couple of years ago and since then I have talked to a lot of people that use it too. I haven't heard any complaints.

   We've been to Seabrook a couple years in a row with friends. Very nice and very clean with large kitchens and lots of space. Definitely not rustic. We have stayed in two different houses so far. It is across the street from the beach but good if being right on the beach is not important.

   Thank you. I will check into these. I would still love some additional recommendations if anyone has some, especially for mountain cabins.

   We own a cottage at Seabrook and absolutely love going there! The location is lovely and it's a fun community - not sure if you have kids or dogs that are coming along but it's a great spot for both! Our house is called the Moondance if you want to check it out...there are houses of all sizes and price ranges listed on the Seabrook website as well.
