Looking for a good Implant Dentist

I am pretty new to Washington and am looking for a dentist that specializes in Implants and Bridges in hopefully the West Seattle area. Any suggestions? I hate to just pick someone out of the telephone book. I'm a big baby when it comes to my teeth due to some pretty bad experiences in the past so I am hoping to find someone with a lot of compassion and understanding. Even better yet would be one that specializes in TMJ work too! :) Thanks in advance for you ideas and suggestions!

  2. My dentist is Dr. George Naden (206-937-3350), he is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. I would suggest starting with him and getting refered for implants and/or bridges.

I was/am a big baby too, Dr. George is very gentle and kind. Give him a try!

  3. I second GoGO...I have gone to Dr. George since I was a little kid, and I'm 34 now! They're located on Admiral Way, a block down from Met Market. He and his staff are just the best. They make you feel so at ease and as if you were a part of their family. Definitely call!

I've had more than a couple of implants. I had a bridge once, also, which failed. My advice is replace the missing tooth with an implant. When it heals, it is stronger than a natural tooth. I had a couple of implants done by an excellent Bellevue specialist. They are great. However, my dentist found a specialist in Tacoma, that was approximately one half the price!! Do I like driving to Tacoma? No. Do I like saving 1000 dollars per implant? Yes. Google Dr. Randal Swanlund. He is truly outstanding and he performs the very latest in implant technology. Believe me, I know!

Thank you for the quick response! Genesse, I have had a bridge for 15 years or so and have HATED it the entire time. Nothing but problems and its time for it to go. Really wish I would have done implants from the start but just didn't want to deal with it at the time. I would hate to drive to Tacoma, but I would certainly consider it in order to get quality service. I'm such a wimp...I've been putting this off for too many years. But I'm just terrified to start this process all over again. Will hang out for a bit and see what other responses I get, and will start making some phone calls :) Thank you everyone!

I've been a patient of Dr. Naden's for many years. I recently went through the implant process. Dr. Naden referred me to Dr. Schuler at Tukwila for the implant itself. I don't know if they do TMJ, but they did a fine job on the implant. Then Dr. Naden finished it off. They don't come gentler than Dr. Naden.

Dr Lloyd Tucker is highly respected in the world of implant dentistry and his office is right here in West Seattle. He is in the block north of the junction post office, on California Ave. The office phone number is 937-8253.
I just had an implant done yesterday with Dr. T, and it is not my first. I would go no where else; and I am more than a "big baby" when it comes to dentistry. He and his staff are the greatest!

Another option is the UW Oral Surgery school. Implants start at $1230. I just made an appointment.

  10. Without saying enough to make this a formal rant, I do NOT recommend Dr. Keenan. I know a lot of people love Naden including my mom.
