That was meant just to get your attention. Does anyone have any good ideas for a date night for 2 for under 20 dollars. Honey never gets home before 6:30 so that eliminates most happy hours.

88 Deli on Delridge north of Roxbury. Various Vietnamese (and a handful of Thai) dishes in addition to their great pho and bahn mi.
We eat an appetizer to share, and each have a meal with drink, and get out of there under $20.
Plus it's healthy and fresh - not McDogfood. :)

or Queen's deli in White Center...
Or Pho Aroma on Delridge
or fish and chips at the foot ferry dock.. incredible view
or take out sandwiches from Hey Paison in Burien eaten at a romantic overlook
or chowder at Dukes
or hamburgers at the Luna Cafe with quarters for the juke box
or BBQ sandwiches at Mike's in Burien
or a shared meal almost anywherea light meal, a long walk and shared conversation are my idea of the perfect date night... and easily achievable under $20. booze optional ;->

Lee's Asian - portions are very large so you could split one. If you don't mind going later, a few places restart happy hour around 9pm or so.

Share a wine tasting at Bin41 (5$) and then dessert at Bakery Nouveau or Ice cream at Huskey Deli.

Costco on a weekend when all the sample tables are running :-D 'Course you need a membership, friend with a membership or a guest pass. So not cheap money-wise but cheap-skate-ish :-D

1. See if someone will let you raid their Entertainment Coupon book. They have lots of 2-1 coupons to dine out including Elliott Bay. 2. Go up to the Ave and check out some of their cheap eats and people watching. 3. Share some yummy food from PCC or Met Market and then walk over to the Admiral movie theater for a film. 4. Dilettante Cafe on Broadway for a treat and people watching.

Omg Todd that is hilarious !!! He would think I had taken way too many pain pills all at once (I too have a broken bone right now) if he came home to find some four locos and a bag of doritos on the dining table!!!! If I could I might just do it for the laugh !!

Todd, you forgot $2 for a tub of sour cream to dip the doritos in. That leaves $7 for the cab ride home after the Four Loko.

Once a year or so I'll find a pal and we'll go to Salty's on a Friday or Saturday night just a bit before 10 PM. Order chowders with a great view and zero crowd and a beautiful view. Might be just a tad over twenty bucks if you do alcohol or desert. But it always feels like a superb and special "value." :->

not west seattle, but Musashi in Wallingford has outstanding sushi - if you skip the saki, and eat sushi rolls or sashimi, two people can stuff themselves for under 20$.

Several times recently, I've seen Resteraunt.com specials for 70-80% off the gift certificate price. For example, a $25 g/c that costs $10, is marked down to $2 after the coupon code. Now, there can be several restictions (no weekends, min $35 purchase, no booze, partiticpating diners). But its a great way to try some new places, and a few that do accept them in WS.
