Laura LarsonParticipantMy name is Laura Larson and I am the managing partner of Home-Spun Domestic Outsourcing, LLC. We specialize in providing Fortune 500 companies call-center services. My company and my other corpoate partners have designed a way for people to satisfy these large companys’needs while working from their own home.
You would work for yourself but get paid through my corporation. Your pay would come about every 2 weeks and depending on the client, the hourly rate averages $10 to $14 per hour. Some make only $8 per hour but others make $23 per hour. This rate is set by the company for which you provide service and you will know a head of time what that will be.You will pick who you want to work for based upon pay and other requirements. All shifts are in half-hour increments and you select when you work based on client requirements.
Now, the down sides (there is always something).
There are some initial costs. Home-Spun Outsourcing will temporarily cover almost all of them until you start getting paid. Once you start making money, we will deduct a portion of the amount owing until its paid. For most people, this is $125.00 or less. This covers things like special headsets, and the first training class. The actual training provided by clients also has a cost. Many clients offer reimbursement for these. For those that don’t, again, Home-Spun may be willing to pay that for you too and later deduct it from your check. The clients that want our services vary and new opportunities come often so we will have to see on that. We will expect you to pay for the criminal background check. That is usually about $11.00 and its done through a partner website. It takes a few minutes minutes to do and usually a few days to get the results. We insists you pay for this so we know you are serious. Of course, you also have to pass the background check to work with us.
General Requirements:
Personal computer (no tablets) specifics later
Lan phone line (plain old wired home phone…no VOIP or cell phones)
Very quite workplace with no disruptions. When your working, your working.
Proper phone etiquette.
Ability to commit to at least 15 hrs per week. Some opportunities may require some weekend hours.
We are currently looking to bring in 3 new reps to satisfy demand. If you would like to work with me and let Home-Spun Domestic Outsourcing help you start making money at home, call me and we can meet.

Now, you may ask, “What is Home-Spun Domestic Outsourcing getting out of this?” Well, we do take our cut. The charge for providing you help to get started, paying your initial costs to get going and providing you an avenue to get your pay either by check or direct deposit is $35 per pay period. This will be from the money you earn with us. We think it is fair and that’s why we risk loaning your the funds before you earn any money with us. We believe that you will think it’s fair, too.
FYI…we are a local business.
I live in West Seattle and run the corporation from my home.

PangolinPieParticipantWhat kind of call-center services do you provide? Sales, support, etc? Just curious. There are NO results on Google for “Home-Spun [or Homespun] Domestic Outsourcing.”
Good luck finding people with a hard-wired phone BTW. Most people are dumping those these days.

Laura LarsonParticipantHome-spun is my new venture. I just finally incorporated the business recently. FYI, to check for legit corporations, go to Secretary of State’s office (in this case, Wa state) to verify address, and agent for the business. If you go to the site for Wa state, you would find Home-Spun, my name and my address.
As far as the home phone thing is concerned, I still know plenty of people with Lan lines but I do know its far less than used to be.
We work with many types of companies. For instance, we work with a national florist handling orders or problems with orders, TV services like cable with sales or scheduling, and a personal favorite is working with the cruise industry. Most calls are incoming but some can be outgoing. It’s really up to the individual. If you don’t want to do a certain kind of sale or call, don’t and pick a different client with which to work.

JanSParticipantdo you have a website?

Laura LarsonParticipantNot as of yet, and hopefully never. I have been keeping this on a more personal note. I meet in person with candidates after they generally understand the the concept to better gauge the fit for both parties. The more I spend on websites and ads, the less money everyone makes. I want to keep this a good deal for all involved. Controlling overhead is major reason why this works.
I was drawn to this idea because I could see that working at home has some major advantages for companies and workers. Call centers are huge money loosers for businesses. Most provide little revenue and huge costs. So, the push to go overseas grew popular. Now, after a decade or more of unrealized savings due to language barriers among other things, companies are desperate to find less expensive solutions. We offer english-speaking, trained customer service reps for a fraction of the cost. Americans have shown their dislike for dealing with call centers that require multiple calls for resolution. I have been asked several times “Where are located?” because (right or wrong) people don’t like dealing with foreign workers. They are pleased when I tell them that I’m in Seattle. I love the people that still question me by adding “Seattle…, like in Washington state?”. People seemed pleasantly surprised to learn that they share a country and a general culture with their representative. I don’t know if its politically correct, but studies have proven it and companies know it. We solve a major problem.

Laura LarsonParticipantBy the way, I love that you are up at this hour. Lots of people are. This is why Home-Spun can work as a call center 24/7 for many clients. This means very flexible hours for anyone interested.
