   So for the past 3-4 months someone has been parking limos on Barton between 34th/35th, right next to Tony's. I believe it must be a limo company using the area to park their vehicles? They've become a nuisance and those of us who live in the area are finding it hard to navigate around the behemoths when we have to turn onto Barton. I also notice they've been parking in the alley next to the new P-Patch plot.

   I actually called the cars in as abandoned a while back since they didn't seem to be moving for a few weeks, but it didn't deter them from using our neighborhood as a parking lot for their silly cars.

   Anyone know the scoop?

   No worries! As I was driving to work this morning, I noticed the hummer limo and one of the towncar limos being driven away. Maybe all the talk on the blog as caught the attention of the owners.

   No such luck. As of 5:30 on Saturday (about a day after your post) they are back, with the Hummer parked right in front of 7-11. Not surprising, since they are not being used, you know, by a business.

   I think these vehicles may be part of the U.N. invasion force.

   Personally, I'm ok with the U.N. takeover, as long as they support local business.

   I think the guy who owns the business lives near there. He buys gas from my husband's station regularly and hubby says he's a really nice guy. I haven't read the last thread on this subject, but maybe someone should just talk to the guy.

   Whoa, just read the last thread. FYI, he does have a legitimate business and hubby added that all his drivers are very nice and very well dressed. Not gonna get into a debate of the legality of his parking job, but man...no benefit of the doubt around here.

   The point is that the limos are creating a driving hazard. It's almost impossible to see around the stretch Hummer when I pull out from 34th onto Barton. I'm sure the owner is perfectly nice -- that's not the point. If it was your UPS vehicle, Joe the Plumber's van, or an ice cream truck -- the point would be the same.

    Wasn't trashing your point. My point had more to do with the nasty assumptions others have made in the previous thread...that's all. Sorry I wasn't clear enough. This kind of thing ticks me off when I'm driving too...but as soon as someone uses that frustration to talk smack about the actual person, that ticks me off even more.
