My neighbors and I noticed two bright reddish objects with a north-to-south trajectory this evening around 10:30. They appeared about 10 minutes apart. At first, we assumed they were fireworks, but they traced a very long path - much longer than fireworks. Not a plane nor the space station. Anyone else notice?

I wish it were something exciting like visitors from space! The explanation is, alas, probably something more mundane.

We saw it too. WE can see Vashon and the Olympic Peninsula from our back alley.
We noticed the red light going south from maybe about Bremerton twords Vashon.
I almost grabbed the video camera. It did seem to me to fly at about the same speed as light aircraft. We see alot over here coming in from the west to land at Boeing Field.
My guess, someone with un-authorized lighting on a Cessna or small chopper.Posted 2 years ago # -
That makes sense. Thanks, Todd.

Chinese lanterns? I saw some being launched on the 4th at about 10:15pm from Eagle Harbor (Bainbridge/Winslow) - 2 of them, very large and bright, could be seen for a long ways, moving slowly and steadily.

...Please let it be the aliens.

Or Chinese lanterns released by aliens.
Then again, the Brits are releasing them, too, and creating a spot of panic.
