Does anyone have a recommendation for how to care for a piece of leather furniture? I have tried to use a grocery store leather care product (a kind of lotion), but it really hasnt changed the dryness. I seem to recall my grandmother "oiling" her leather chair... but I dont know anyone that know what that is, and neither do I. Any and all suggestions welcome.

  2. I think what your grandmother was using is olive oil. The oil works great to keep the leather nice and healthy and can also be used to remove scratches. But don't use alot just enough to give the leather a nice shinny look. I normally use olive oil on my boots and dress shoes the stuff works greats. It does take a little time to dry but that depends on how much you use. Hope that helps.

I know what DOESN'T work. Dog flea treatment. I treated the dog and then she snuck up onto the couch (she's not supposed to be on there) and the treatment left two big huge spots in the leather.

    Talk about getting busted.

    Darn dog.
