Kid Climbing Gyms?

  1. Anyone know of any climbing gyms whether walls or big "rocks" for little kids around the West Seattle area?

Camp long has a big rock. When my kids were younger they used to offer kids climbing clinics on Saturdays.

Closest climbing gym is Seattle Bouldering Project off of Dearborn and takes about 15 mins without traffic.

Lots of kids programs and very kid friendly. Otherwise, Vertical World in Magnolia.

  6. It is a ropes course, not rocks, but as pattilea commented, there are a couple big rocks there too (Camp Long). I need to go check this course out! Maybe too much for little kids, but in a few years??

If you're Y members you can enjoy the climbing wall at the gorgeous Matt Griffin YMCA at Seatac. Gawd, I love that place.

  8. Thanks all...Camp Long is a favorite but so hard to do 9 months out of the year. I almost kill myself there when wet let alone a yougnin'. Geeez, why is it Portland can have indoor activities like this (for pay of course) all over the place and we don't have anything but nail salons and banks all around!!!!
