breakfast under $5...not bad.
I confess to not even knowing it existed.
but breakfast under 5 means i should find out.
According to White Center Now it\'s a grand opening of an additional location by the same folks.

Thanks, Marg, beat me to it. FullTilt discovered this a few days ago and posted about it on WCN (which continues to grow -- thanks to those who\'ve added it to their regular webwanderings); I\'ve been waiting for his promised review before crossposting the link to WSB! - TR
My husband had breakfast there once and wasn\'t all that impressed. I\'ve never eaten there though. Must be doing well if they\'re opening a new one.
it kind of looks dark and gloomy....ok and ill just come out and say it.....dirty! at least from the outside of the one in the junction....but i have to admit the day of the parade in the junction someone brought me a breakfest to go from there and the eggs were good and runny the hash good and greasy and toast well good toast! but then again that was also the night i was suffering from a major hangover and any food might have tasted good..........
I\'ve been in West Seattle for 15 years and went to Be\'s in the Junction a few weeks ago for the first time <desperate for breakfast food, fast>. Seemed to be the typical greasy spoon diner, except they also serve Pho which I thought was odd. (has anyone tried the Pho?)
It is kinda dingy & in desparate need of an upgrade. Seems to be an institution of sorts though, with many old-timers staking their table and lingering about with imaginary cigarettes and endless cups of really bad coffee.
<New location, \"Free Coffee\"... be forewarned!>
changingtimes, you at runny eggs with a hangover ? You have my respect.
Yep, Be\'s is not the cleanest place. But it is incredibly cheap, the food is good (great if you use consider the price), and the service is fast. What is best though, is to go in to Be\'s on a weekday morning and talk to all the folks in there. There are usually folks in there that remember the street cars, can talk about the 30s and 40s in West Seattle, etc. My daughter and I love it for what it is... a wonderful, unique part of W. Seattle (with no line, even on Sunday morning!)
linked from the sidebar here but if you haven\'t noticed it yet, FullTilt\'s followup:

It\'s all about the hash browns! We scour the US on our driving trips for good hash browns and honestly Be\'s is the best. Old fashioned hand cut pieces, not shredded, not big hunks and I cannot figure out how they are always cooked through, never undercooked. OK, so the grease factor is on the high side but I only have to watch my blood sugar not my cholesterol. Partners favorite: Steak and eggs (and those hashbrowns) for 7 or 8 bucks. And yes, it\'s the old, old fashioned type of place, many seniors hang out there, and weekends bring multigen families taking the grandparents out for breakfast. It was a smoke tank, but all cleared out now.
