intitiatives 1053, 1107 and 1098

  4. Clarification: This editorial appears to SUPPORT 1098, not oppose it. It opposes 1053 and 1107. The article has a link to a previous part of the series, "Initiative 1098: Triage for Inequality in Washington State", which makes the author's support for 1098 clear.

    the article opposes

    1053 which would require a two-thirds majority of the state legislature to pass any tax increases

    and 1107 which would repeal sales taxes on soda-pop and candy.

    while supporting 1098.. which would tax the income of the top 1.2% of Washington residents and provide tax relief for property owners and small businesses
