You could try Clearwire. About $35/month from what I recall. Simple to use. No muss, no fuss.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO CLEARWIRE.
If you do a 'clearwire' search in the forums there are a number of them that pop up and ALL are against clearwire.

I actually have Clear right now. I started with them when I lived in Bellingham and it was great. Unfortunately, the minute I moved to WS I started having problems with my internet. I get kicked off the internet quite frequently. Multiple times per day. I have to unplug the modem and plug it back in. Multiple times. I also do not have the wireless service I pay for. I have to be hooked up to my modem. I have had numerous discussions w/customer service and tech support about the issue and cannot seem to get it resolved. Anyway, long story short, I'm looking for a change, but in looking at reviews online it seems there are not many options. Thanks for your advice, and thanks in advance to anyone with something to add...

  5. We have $60/month plans with both Sprint and Verizon for mobile wireless broadband. Which I'd recommend, depends on where you are, if you do NOT need to go mobile and just need something at your house. We had Verizon first and it was quite reliable except for a couple places we go regularly ... such as, Highland Park. Sprint only gets weird on me during the regular monthly Admiral Neighborhood Association meetings in the basement of Admiral Church (I'm thinking probably just thick walls). At our home east of Lincoln Park (and uphill), both work fine. As does the AT&T wireless broadband with the iPhone, though it still has an Alki blind spot around Duwamish Head...
