   If it is something you can catch you can take it to the VCA Five Corners vet. They get a Sarvey pick up most days.

   I think Hammerhead [poster here ] sometimes can help too depending on what sort of wildlife it is. What sort of animal are you talking about?

   Yes please do NOT hesitate to call me. If i can get it, it will be done.

   NOT one wildlife rescue will come out to get any injured animal.(paws, sarvery or wildlife especially not them today as it was a holiday)

   thank-you for replies. I will be calling. And thanks for the heads up re. no help from organizations to capture, as I would have spent hours on the phone looking for help because it's just me and I don't have anyone to help me capture. This is a situation the serenity prayer was made for.

   the injured animal is a domestic breed goose that was dropped off years ago in a local park and so has lived outdoors-- in the "wild" -- doesn't have an owner or house. The issue I've run into is that places like PAWS and Sarvey that help wildlife won't help with domestic breed. does anyone know of a "farm animal" type sanctuary, etc. Baahaus's answering message says they're full and can't take additional animals and pasado's doesn't answer but they may be a good option. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

   I have seen chickens getting vet care at South Seattle Veterinary Hospital. Maybe he could be treated there and then be placed with a chicken, duck, or goose family in someone's yard.

    HunterG can I contact you? I would like to discuss situation with you since you know about them and they are a unique situation. I spent all day on the phone yesterday and found a local farm animal sanctuary that would take them. Also, talking to vets and the sanctuary, learned that what I thought was injury may be natural. no one I talked to thinks the situation is dire/urgent. (they will survive the storm as they have lived out in it for at least 5 past winters and they have their down jackets on.)

    babalou - I have heard from several other park-goers that these geese have lived in the park and have been regular fixtures there for 14+ years.

    Although I am concerned, I have no idea as to what I could do. One of them is injured? Or is it that you are concerned that they are abandoned? I just saw the two the other day.

    These geese are siblings, hatched right near the ferry dock. They will be 2 years old in May.
    Their mother was a fixture in the area for 15+ years and was killed by a dog last year.

    Thanks for the info on the geese, pigeon mom. The mother of the two siblings must have been who this park-goer was speaking about.

    It's incredible tragic that the mother was killed. Another reason folks why YOUR DOG SHOULD BE ON A LEASH!!!

    I know, I'm still sad about that. A co-worker passed away before the mama goose had live hatch-lings after years and years of sitting on the nest. My friend and co-worker would have been so happy to have seen her babies.
