In need of a metal detector for a few minutes

  1. My 3 year old son and I were playing in the grass this afternoon and my wedding ring flew off my finger and I am unable to find it in the grass. I am hoping a metal detector can find it. It is platinum. I would be forever grateful to the person who would be willing to come over to my West Seattle home with their metal detector and see if it can be found. Please give me a call at 356-4853. Thank you.

  2. Tonight after it gets dark, shine a flashlight over the area where the ring dropped. At night the ring should glint in the beam of the flashlight.

Or a shop vac, but make sure it's pretty clean. Vac the yard and inspect the contents. You'll know when it's found when you hear it...or it'll be another kind of rock.

    Gina,
Is this something you learned by experience?! ;)

  5. These all sound like good ideas, luckily I don't need to try them. Thanks to John and Ray for your metal detectors, Ray's did the trick. A big thanks to my friend Keri who contacted Ray knowing he had a metal detector. A big thanks to my wife who suggested posting something on the West Seattle Blog about it and not making me spend the night in the dog house! ! Next stop is the jewelry store to get my ring re-sized!
