I\'m whining...

Contacted a wholesale distributor because there are two types of wines I would like to purchase a large quantity of. Was told they could not sell to me because I don\'t have a liquor license. : (

Anyone care to help out/offer suggestions with my quandary?

I was waiting to see if anyone who might have an answer for you would respond, but I was wondering if you had contacted the winery directly.

Maybe, if you want to buy in bulk, they can offer you a deal?

Yeah, all I can think of is to look for the best deal then try to get 10% off. Most places will give you 10% off 6 or more bottles. Metropolitan Market will give you 20% off all pre ordered cases. Costco has some good prices. Rite Aide seems to have the best deals on some wines. Maybe a wine shop like West Seattle Cellars could be of assistance? Good luck.

Do you like (red) wine NR? 2 political party minorities who like red wine posting at the same time.

I love red wine! I think my favorite is Voga. They sell it at Target.

The first time I tried it was in Phoenix. There is a grocery store there called Aj\'s (exactly what Met Market is here) and they were the only ones who carried it, so they were always out.

Now, they have it at Target!!!! But Voga makes a red and a white. The red is called \"Quattro\" and has four different reds blended together. The white is a Pinot Grigio and is fabulous!

What is your favorite? Or recommendation?

I\'ll check out Voga. My favorites are all Washington Reds or Red Blends. Owen Roe, Novelty Hill/Januik, Ste Michelle of course, L\'ecole, Cadence, I have some Leonetti cellaring. Bergevin Lane is the newest one I have tried.

  8. try West Seattle Cellars or Vino Bella in Burien. I am sure they can help you out. Barring that, let me know what you\'re looking for- my good friend works for a local distributor and she should be able to tell you where to get it.

  13. FYI for you wine lovers- I just joined up with this new club called \"Wine Shop at Home\"- think Pampered Chef, but wine instead of gadgets. After the party you have the option of joining the monthly wine club. I just got my first shipment...much to my chagrin it is gone already, so I am anxiously awaiting my next shipment. Really good wine, and the party was really fun. The one I went to had cheese and chocolate pairings to go with the wine. If anyone is interested, I can get you the name of the local rep!

  16. It\'s not really in WS, but try Richard at the Wine Outlet. It\'s one block south of Safeco Field on 1st ave, on the west side. He runs a class act and often throws parties, like oyster or Copper River BBQ\'s along with tasting parties.

Wow! Great replies. It is a very specific boutique/vineyard. I have contacted the winery directly in CA. Yes, their website does offer 10% off...and then approximately $200 in shipping. They only have one wholesale distributor locally, but as was pointed out, I will consult West Seattle Cellars and/or Wine Outlet.

    Thanks all!
