   Just had Mr. Rooter come in and fix a plumbing problem in my kitchen. They came quickly, provided a free estimate, were reasonably priced, careful and cleaned up when finished. I'll call them again.

   - These guys are number one on my list. They are very reasonably priced and will let you know over the phone if they would be able to replace your hose bib.
   Whatever you do, DO NOT call Southwest Plumbing, unless you are made of money. They are extremely expensive. Southwest's quote for a simple job: $3,000.00 Drainaway did the job for $225.00 - Big difference $2,800 difference.

   I personally would not recommend using Mr. Rooter based on our experience with them. Although they did come out quickly (I give them kudos for that) they charged us over $800 to run a camera and find the problem with our overflowing toilet, which happened to be a break in the sewer as it headed over a hillside (the actual break was very near the top). They marked the break (which was close to where they marked it for digging, but still several feet away from where the break was, so had they done the work, would have really torn up the landscaping trying to find it) and quoted us almost $5K to fix the break which included bringing in equipment to dig up the hillside and which we were warned would damage some of our plants and trees. We had the repair done by someone else who did the digging by hand and for well under $500, including permits.

   I would recommend Joe the Plumber. I have suggested him to several friends and they have given me great feedback about him. He has also had tons of great praise from past WSB forum posts which you can find by typing Joe the Plumber into the search box.

   I don't have any suggestions for a roofer, but will need one myself soon, so will be interested in everyone's feedback on roofers.

   Vince, Sound Roofing, west seattle business.

   Had a large roof done, good fast work and had the lowest quote of three I received.

   Anonyme... I don't know what all Mr. Rooter will do, but worth a call. All I know was that I used them last week and they did a great job.. and fast too, for a reasonable price.

    Stalwart Plumbing! We've been using them for about 7 years. Paul (the owner) is knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and really cares about getting the job done right. 206-784-3747

    Ditto on Stalwart Plumbing. Maybe a little expensive on the hourly rate, but they know exactly what they're doing so it takes less time. Most importantly, I trust them so I don't worry about hassles.
