Getting a jump start on a tried and true New Years resolution... any recommendations for a good yoga studio that offers warm yoga - not: so hot it makes me want to die - yoga.

    Cheers.

  2. Elizagrace, I have not taken hot yoga at all, so can't speak from personal experience. But I did notice (when researching it) that Breathe Hot Yoga in West Seattle has a FAQ on their website that answers the question of why they're not as hot as some other hot yoga studios. http://www.breathehotyoga.com/FAQ It also mentions having "cooler and hotter zones" on their "First Time" page. I don't know what that translates to temp-wise, and if it's still "so hot it makes [you] want to die" but might be worth checking out.

  3. Not in WS, but Karuna Arts Yoga in downtown Burien has a few warm yoga classes. Sadly, they're moving to Des Moines in March but there is still time to give them a try between now and then.

  5. Elizagrace, I've been to a number of hot yoga studios in the Seattle area and I think Breathe is great. Their studios are definitely on the cooler side as hot yoga goes & even within that they do indeed have "zones". The instructors are great as well -- worth checking out. Also, for what it's worth I think the downtown Seattle studio is slightly less hot than the WS studio but that may be a function of size/newness (WS studio is new bldg and smaller).

  6. I teach a vinyasa flow class at Limber Yoga on California, I set the temp at 72 to 75. After sun salutaions it gets warm, not uncomfortably hot. Polly.
