I have a group of Japanese girls that are going to be here for 3 weeks this summer (July 21st to August 10th)for an academic program. I am looking for 3 high school girls to be conversation pals during the classroom portion of the program (must also come from host families). Classes will be held for 12 hours each week, and conversation pals will earn $90/week.
The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, has an outgoing personality and can fulfill the following requirements:
-Must be available to attend all class sessions
-Must be 15 years or older and have attended at least one year of high school
-Must participate in a training session 2 to 4 weeks prior to the program ($15 compensation)
-Must be willing to host a student in their home
The primary responsibility of conversation pals is to promote English conversation by talking and interacting with the students in structured activities.
It will be a fun summer position! Hang out with Japanese students visiting the country for the first time and help them to improve their English skills by participating in activities already planned by the teacher. Classes will be held 4 days a week from 9am to 12pm.
