Bob, are you or your company located in West Seattle? It appears that you joined specifically to post this advertisement. Did you read the WSB rules?

some one provide a link. If this is not via a non profit or dshs then what is it? my isp charges 5.95 a month. The real cost is in the phone line and dsl via qwest/centurylink. I don't see any program via google.
I know many people who could benefit if this is not a scam.

This is a brand new program through CenturyLink and is not a scam. They have matched Comcast's $9.95 DSL offer for families on the school lunch program but CenturyLink's is available to those on other kinds of assistance as well. It is not generally advertised but they do allow referral marketing where one receives a little CREDIT(not cash)UP TO A CERTAIN LIMIT on their own bill. Who's the $5.95 ISP-is it dial up or DSL ?

It's a legit program. CenturyLink was required to offer discounted Internet service as a condition for the approval of their acquisition of Savvis, a web hosting company. I'm sure BobC is just trying to drum up some extra referral bucks for himself.
Here's the flyer:

Link to the program through me please, so you could help out this impoverished, disabled Sr. citizen on his bills unless of course you're too selfish to do that for the person who alerted you to the program. We should also stay in touch to make sure everyone gets their due credit in the referral program.

There is also a self-install option where you basically just plug in some wires to the modem and install the modem driver. You can also use your own modem as long as it's compatible with CenturyLinks systems. But alas, there will always be taxes and surcharges...

Just a reminder to anyone who might be interested, I have an older (~10 years) modem and router free to a good home. They are not the latest and greatest, but they do work and you can't beat the price. :) Otherwise they will go to the next erecyling event.

Former employer Bob. No frills, no tech support and no pretending to be "the internet" like earthlink, AOL and MSN. Straight IP /29 via bridging. I am listed as a reseller even though the people I sign up never make me a dime, they just get the same price. But I have the cell phone number of the NOC since it used to be my number :)
The isp fee is not the expensive part of dsl. There is no reason it should be expensive but marketing and inertia. Those who need handholding have to pay for it. I still pay for phone and dsl from qwest/CL which is by far the greater expense.
I will refer any qualified signups to you :)

Even if it's just slightly better than 56K dial-up access it'll be worth it.
