Hi Mike, I've got a futon and a single mattress. Neither is gross or in terrible condition but they are the kinds of things that can't get wet.

If I brought them by could you all use them?

  2. Hi maplesyrup.

Unfortunately, we are unable to use furniture of that size.

Thanks for thinking of us though!

  3. I have 32 King County bus tickets that expire the end of Dec 2011 that I'm not going to be using. Could Nickelsville use them?

Yes! Bus tickets/ORCA Cards are something we can always use!

  7. That's great, Mike! When would it work best to get them to you?

  8. Hi all.

Actually getting a decent signal at Camp (for now).

Jrichtback, the list that JoB alludes to on the thread that smy started is pretty accurate for our current needs.

homedk, If you go up to the Security Desk in Camp, they can log in the donation of the bus tickets, and find a Donation Coordinator to accept them. If one can't be found, Security will pass them along as soon as one becomes available.

    To all:

between my unstable connection down here, being ill, and not sure of when I'll get to the library next due to Holiday plans, I'm not sure how soon or often I'll be getting online over the next several days.

Please forgive if I'm unable to reply in a timely manner.

Thanks for posting the list and will try despite my limited cash on hand to help. Do they need anything special for Thanksgiving? Are they having a special dinner? Excuse my ignorance.

Out of curiousity is NV accepting frozen turkeys for Thanksgiving? I don't know if they have the ability to cook them down there.

  12. Bostonman...they cook over an open campfire..not sure how that would work with a turkey, frozen or otherwise..

  13. Mike & JoB, thanks for your responses! We'll plan to drop them off in the next few days, as we go past there frequently.

  14. Bostonman...

it depends on the size of the turkey..
they have at least two small smokers at Nickelsville.. but would most likely need charcoal to go with the turkey...

    sb in ws...

Cecile Hanson of the Duwamish invited the residents of Nickelsville for thanksgiving dinner at the longhouse tomorrow from 2 to 4.

a local church group said they will be bringing thanksgiving dinner to Nickelsville.. I don't know if that is on thanksgiving or over the weekend...

what the residents of Nickelsville need more than anything right now is rain gear, rain boots, thermal socks and gloves.

the extraordinary rain is threatening to flood them out in spite of the raised gravel walkways.

Mike, I'm moving in a few days and have some firewood to donate. Can someone pick it up? I'm near 35th & Thistle and I don't have a truck.
Please email me at valerie.ann@me.com or call 226-7392.

Ive given your phone # to a Nickelodian in regards to your firewood offer. You should be hearing from someone. Know they can use it.
