Help identify itinerant "lawn mower man"?

  1. In the spring and summer, there is a man who regularly walks the Westwood neighborhood (I'm not sure how wide an area he covers) looking for work mowing people's lawns. I've had him mow mine a few times and he does good work, but he doesn't have a business card and I don't have him come on a regular basis, so I don't know how to locate him.

Last summer, his lawn mower died and he was asking if I knew anyone who had a mower to trade for yard work? I didn't at the time, but now I do. In fact, I have several to trade out as part of an estate property I have listed (I'm a real estate agent).

I assume that this gentleman has a new mower by now, but I'm also guessing he could use a back-up. Can anyone help me locate this man or someone in similar need?

  2. Ah yes, that would be David. I'm not sure of his last name or exactly where he lives. I think somewhere around Henderson and 14th. Glad you had a good experience with him and are trying to help him out. He did some work for some family members until he started getting a little too pushy and once came around looking for work at 10pm. That was a little shady.

  3. Yep, if it is David, he did some work for us. Then started getting very erratic and demanding. Coming around after dark and being really pushy for work. Asking for advances on a mowing job. When asked to not come over after 6pm and to please respect our answers if we didn't need work done he got verbally abusive.

Is this the guy with the missing teeth? If so, I have not seen him in my 'hood for ages.

  5. Hmmm, maybe I'm better off NOT locating him. I'm not surprised to hear that he can become pushy. Thanks for the info.
