  8. I cheated. I saw it arrive:)

When i left Nickelsville at 11:30 they had not yet begun to move the full load of gravel that was delivered at 9:30.

they were still moving the load of barkdust to fill ruts and create a layer of mulch over the mud in the front...

so they could put gravel over it.

there will be some very tired campers in Nickelsville tonight....
but much less mud to contend with.

Maybe we can rally some community members to come down with wheelbarrows and shovels to help?

  10. When I left around 3PM they were still shoveling the bark dust into all the ruts and pot holes before laying down the gravel. YES, they sure could use some strong help! They have one more nice day forecast before the next rain.

Just left a message on West Seattle Tool Library hotline to see if they can get some tools and wheelbarrows to the folks....and maybe even some warm bodies to help.

  12. And for you trivia buffs out there... 10 yards of the type of gravel that Nickelsville received weighs in around 28,000 pounds, and they are still going to need more gravel. Luckily, gravel is quite affordable, and runs about $25 per yard delivered.

Yep, got the mulch laid down today, on to the gravel tomorrow!
