  1. Do you have a crappy computer that's been sitting unused in some corner of your house that you've been meaning to get rid of? I'm willing to take it off your hands!

Seriously, there's no limit to how old or useless the computer is... except maybe if it's from the mid 1980s, that might be a bit too old. ;-D

If you're wondering what use I could possibly make of it, I need some minimally functional computer on which to test and debug software for free operating systems (free as in freedom as well as price), and I currently don't have an extra computer on which to do this.

    Thanks!

  3. What kind do you want too. I think I have a couple of purple g3 imacs in the attic (might have to be combined into one to work if I remember how) and a few working pII and p3 laptops. (at least working last time I plugged them in) I think I got the older stuff cleaned out. oh and a sparc ultra and maybe a sparc 10 with monitor, external cd depending on what is under the workbench which has not been disturbed in several years. (archeological strata is a form of recordkeeping around here)

  4. Ken:

The G3 iMacs are PowerPC, the pentium laptops are x86/i386, and the sparc ultra is... well, sparc. Those are all architectures supported by Debian! So in short, I could probably make use of them if you can't anymore! :)
