This is ridiculous, where the hell are my socks???

I think they might be downstairs. But with all this arctic weather how can I reach them? Maybe I should just stay bare foot?

I was thinking maybe I could use the stairs but they maybe still slippy from the dog. The dog slipped earlier and she has 4x4 (four leg drive)....but no chains. The kid slipped earlier too, but I put that down to the peppermint schnapps.

I'd thought of going out onto the back deck and walking around to the front of the house, through the front door .....but maybe it hasn't been sanded yet, despite all the property tax I pay!!!

I mean there's nothing on King5 about my yard so what the hell am I gonna do?? The city has abandoned me,the president(both of them)have abandoned me arghhhhhhhhhh.

I mean am I supposed to grow a pair down below and think for myself?

ps I'm trying to pry my tongue away from my cheek (it's stuck too but that's another story)

pps send more peppermint schnapps, the kid will be back sooooooon

  3. cruiser, I admit, I've never had kids, so I'm the last person that should be giving parental advice, but I have to say that I'm quite appalled at the thought of you giving your kid Peppermint Schnapps!

    .

Peach Schnapps is MUCH better! ;-)

You should let them drink Kahlua. Its a coffee drink so they would be all wound up on caffeine and Alcohol.

cruiser isn't giving the kids the Schnapps. It's to get hammered before they get home! Or it's to kill the pain of the fact that they are coming home soon.

  6. This HAS GOT TO BE an Irish thing

  7. C'mon guys. Give Cruiser a break. I'm sure Peppermint Schnapps is only for the holidays. Peach would be much healthier, obviously, it should count as a fruit, right?

  8. That reminds me. I have cleaned out my liquor cabinet (when I ran out of the annual bottle of Makers Mark) and I have a collection of bizarre stuff my brother in law brought back from eastern Europe. Some of it only has a very small amount gone but I am not going to put any more in my mouth ever again.

I guess I will make up a gift box for my local alcoholic and snag him on his daily trek to the store for beer.

I am told these are "acquired tastes"
Before it goes, anyone (over 21) like mead, grappa or cloud berry liquor?

I have not even opened the mead.

  10. Cloud Berry Liqueur just sounds revolting.

  11. cloud berry liqueur (my spell checker was no help) looks nice and honey orange, smells sweet and fruity, and is quite possibly the nastiest thing I have ever put in my mouth. The aftertaste is aged cough syrup.

I have to assume versions from western and Scandinavian countries might taste better but this one is Estonian.

Mmmm, grappa! Definitely an acquired taste. Not that I'm asking for it...this is the year of the scotch love-fest.

If they are crew socks with holes around the big toes, I polished my furniture with 'em.

  23. cruiser, is that a "phew" of relief in finding them, or a reaction to finding them via your olfactory sense?
