but it’s just me here
wishing you a Happy Valentine’s Day…
loving the one you’re with starts with your first look of the day
in your mirror ;-)
love yourself and it’s easy to love life

JanSParticipantWaynster, thanks for the V-Day wish :)
Yes, as JoB said…we need to love #1, esp. when there isn’t a #2 in one’s life. This is a day that leaves a lot of single people saying “Meh!”. It doesn’t have to be that way…love yourself, and love your friends…they’re both important :)
Although, I do miss that box of chocolates…hehehe

PangolinPieParticipantI’ve never been able to hotlink images on these forums but I have a little album of fun and somewhat risqué vintage valentines that you all might enjoy. :)

JeannieParticipantThat “10 Commandments” cartoon is great! By the way, I was listening to an interesting interview on NPR Friday night. The upshot was that love can sometimes come in the form of a mini-connection. It isn’t love in the traditional sense, it can simply mean when you smile and say “Hi” to a stranger, and the stranger smiles and replies. You don’t feel romantic or familial “love,” but a brief connect that is actually mentally and physically healthy. It feels good. So, let’s thaw the Seattle freeze and greet people once in a while. Or, if you’re shy, at least say “Hi” to their dog!
